About the Role
An Administrative and Production Assistant, is responsible for the success and ease of each session at camp. Their duties include reporting to the camp director and taking care of any necessary daily tasks, and serving as stage crew for camp productions. an Administrative Counselor who will assist with the Program Book Creation, Lobby Management and Tickets Sales for all the Performances. The Administrative Counselor must have a laptop and be capable of editing Word Documents. When not performing Admin Tasks, this counselor will help with other camp activities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
You must be a high school graduate
Previous experience as an administrative assistant, camp counselor or educator
Background in theater
Seeking to study theater or education in college
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the administrative director
Tending to all administrative needs and pre show duties
Being present to help during all show performances
Participating in training workshops held prior to camp sessionsÂ
Working co-operatively with Counsellors and teachers to ensure campers are safe, while maintaining adequate health and hygiene measuresÂ
Building relationships with all campers by showing compassion, empathy and understanding
Taking roll call at the beginning and end of activitiesÂ
Providing positive feedback for parentsÂ

During a typical season we produce four youth musicals, one young adult musical, one all ages musical, one adults only musical/cabaret and a performing arts day camp with five overlapping sessions resulting in five youth musicals across nine weeks in the summer. All of these productions need Directors, Choreographers, Vocal Directors, Tech Directors, Costume Designers, Stage Managers, front of house positions and more.
