Working At MTC
Whether you are a professional trying to give back to community theater roots or a young artist trying to make your way into a career in production, design, or education. There are many valuable opportunities to create with MTC throughout our season.
During a typical season we produce four youth musicals, one young adult musical, one all ages musical, one adults only musical/cabaret and a performing arts day camp with five overlapping sessions resulting in five youth musicals across nine weeks in the summer. All of these productions need Directors, Choreographers, Vocal Directors, Tech Directors, Costume Designers, Stage Managers, front of house positions and more.
General Requirements
Preferably, all applicants will have prior experience performing expected duties, are currently studying in a program relevant to the position they are applying for, or have other relevant experience. All positions are expected to be present for as many performances as possible, conflicts should be known before tech week. If you're unsure of anything, reach out with your resume and any questions.

Our Summer Stage produces 4-5 sessions, each resulting in 6 performances at the end of each session.
To avoid burnout, we look for 4-5 different creative teams per show. (Director, Vocal Director, and Choreographer)
Creative team members can work on two productions per summer, but not in back to back sessions.
Counselors and production assistants can roll over across sessions.
